"1/8A" GALLERY (continued)

PIONEERING "1/8A" B-36 IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!

Don D'Innocenzo of Eaton, Colorado sent us some really amazing pictures of his 72nd scale (39.25" wingspan) B-36 with SIX (6!) COX TEE DEE .010 ENGINES (non-throttled)!  Don said in his letter that "The props in the photos are pusher props.  They had to be ground down and re-balanced.  As a free flight, it flies great…"  Don said that he has under construction another 72nd scale B-36, but this one will be "FULL-HOUSE" (4-CHANNEL), using today's breakthrough MICRO R/C electronics and batteries.

Don ordered "R/C" RETROFITS for all of his SIX (6!) COX TEE DEE .010 ENGINES!  With full throttle control on all SIX ENGINES, he will be able to taxi and do touch-and-goes and slow fly-bys!

NOTE:  The ENGINES now have been retrofitted with PET™'S, so the "1/8A" B-36 project is moving forward.

MICRO-FLITE®'s latest model MICRO-FLITE®/COX® TD .010  "R/C" ENGINE idles at a faint purr, so Don will have a true "park-on-runway" idle!  Provided Don's model has enough wing area for R/C, his 72nd scale MICRO R/C B-36 should put on a spectacular show--both on the runway and in the air!

"1/8A" B-36 UPDATE (7/19/04): Don has notified MICRO-FLITE® that his 72nd scale "1/8A" B-36 will be outfitted with four functioning 5OZ Jet-X engines!!  Don said "with all four engines burning, I will have an additional 1 3/4 pounds of thrust (on average) on the run way as I take off."

Don's "1/8A" B-36 with TEN (10!) ENGINES running could just end up to be the next generation SPACE SHUTTLE!!  There is no doubt that Don's "1/8A" B-36 MICRO R/C project is going to be really spectacular.  Best of all, he has promised "film", so that we all can see the maiden flight.  WE DEFINITELY WILL HAVE PICTURES AND HOPEFULLY A VIDEO CLIP on MICRO-FLITE®'S WEB SITE of what will be an  incredible "1/8A" pioneering
